‘Tis the season for giving. ‘Tis the season for love and unity; a time where we share our blessings. Had a bit of a better week; starting to feel less demotivated and more of that creative itch, which should be maddening once I get through the holiday kerfuffle. Looking back, I’ve had a pretty good year. Four Feasts till Darkness has moved past the 7,500 units mark! Wow! I didn’t think it would be as successful as it has, though there’s still much more growth to go. I’ve connected with some really special fans, bloggers and internet friends. I have a tremendous amount for which to be thankful.
True gratitude must transition into grateful actions; it’s the recycling of one’s good energy and goodwill. To that end, I have a couple of initiatives I’m about to start: one this week, one the next. I’ve been thinking long and hard about how I can give something back. We have enough despair, enough people and events to depress and suppress what is good in humankind. I’d like to encourage the opposite. Not blindly, not in a way that insulates us in unnecessary flattery and protection. I’d like to reciprocate the genuine positivity that I’ve received as an artist to other artists. People, especially creatives, spend so much energy taking themselves and each other down and invest proportionately little in building others up. I believe we get stronger by making others stronger–not just ourselves. My thoughts are getting away with me…More on that initiative next week, on what’s forecasted to be an official day-and-date Christmas blog 🙂
Let’s look at goals less lofty: this week’s present. For all you eager U.S. readers here’s a Christmas giveaway courtesy of Geadhain. The link below will take you to a secure Amazon giveaway page for chance at a brand new Kindle Fire HD! All you have to do is follow my Amazon Author page–no other stipulations are in place. Good luck! (Regrettably, my Canadian and international friends, due to the nature of Amazon giveaways, entry is locked to US entrants/ accounts only.)
Tune in for something special next week. Till then, stay kind, keep dreaming, and Happy Holidays.
All my love,
P.S. Stealth Feast of Mercy cover reveal in the title image 🙂
